Treatment Options

Donor Services

RFC works with reputable egg donor agencies and we have exclusive access to an affiliated, anonymous egg donor program.  Our patients are welcome to choose any donor from any agency and our coordinators will take care of the rest.

What are Donor Services?

Donor services are fertility options available for intended parents who are struggling with conception. Conception through donation entails having a baby using donated sperm, eggs, or embryos through assisted reproductive processes like Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) or In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Donor services are invaluable options in infertility support and guide intended parents onto their journey to parenthood.

Donor Services Offered

Egg Donor

RFC Center partners with reputable egg donor agencies to offer our patients egg donor services right in-house. Patients are provided with the best matches for their needs. All our egg donors are also contractually bound by legal documentation on their agreement to donate their eggs.

Sperm Donor

Patients are able to arrange for their own private donor sperm donor for their IVF cycle.  They may also choose a sperm donor and have the selected sperm shipped to our center for their upcoming fertility treatment. All donors must submit to FDA-required infectious disease screenings prior to donating.

Embryo Donation

Embryos may be available for adoption from past infertility patients who have walked their path to parenthood and now feel their family is whole. These patients have experienced their own fertility journey and are willing to assist other families in achieving their dreams of family.

When to consider Donor Services

Considering the use of donor eggs or sperm is an important step in an intended parent(s) fertility journey. Infertility can be a complex issue with different contributing factors. For patients, using donor services may offer the best chances of achieving a successful pregnancy and fulfilling their dreams of parenthood. Looking into donor services may be best for patients who have the following:m

Some individuals may have underlying medical conditions, such as certain genetic disorders or reproductive system issues, that make it challenging to conceive using their own eggs or sperm. In these cases, donor eggs or sperm can provide a healthier genetic foundation for the child.

As women age, the quality and quantity of their eggs naturally decline. Advanced maternal age, typically defined as 35 years or older, is associated with a higher risk of abnormalities and infertility. Donor eggs can offer a better chance of a successful pregnancy for women over the age of 35.

Intended parents who carry genetic mutations that may result in hereditary diseases or conditions may choose to use donor services to avoid passing on genetic conditions to their children.

Intended parents with poor egg quality or low sperm quality may experience repeated failed fertility treatments. Using donor eggs or sperm can increase the chances of a successful pregnancy.

Women with low ovarian reserve, having a reduced number of eggs remaining, may benefit from donor eggs to improve their chances of conception.

Male infertility issues, such as low sperm count, abnormal sperm, or impaired sperm mobility, can hinder conception. Donor sperm may be a viable solution in such cases.

Before starting any fertility treatment, our expert physicians will recommend that patients undergo thorough diagnostic procedures. These tests help physicians better assess the specific fertility conditions involved and create a personalized treatment plan accordingly. Diagnostic assessments may include hormone tests, ultrasound scans, genetic screenings, and semen analysis for both partners.

By collecting this important information, we can create a personalized fertility treatment plan that aligns with the needs and goals of each patient. Our personalized approach raises the chances of a successful pregnancy while addressing any medical, genetic, or personal reasons that may require the use of donor eggs or sperm.

Screening for Donors

At Reproductive Fertility Center, we only provide our patients with the best donor eggs and sperm. All donors undergo thorough medical, genetic, psychological, and laboratory screening prior to donation. This provides the best possible success rates for our patients, as we only use the healthiest and highest-quality eggs or sperm for fertility treatments.

When choosing an egg or sperm donor, a patient can decide if they would prefer an anonymous donor from an agency or provide a known donor.
