Actress Angelina Jolie Pitt wrote this Diary of a Surgery a week ago.  She had made some very public healthcare choices to prevent cancer. This article reminds us of the saying that Knowledge is Power, and how often that is true in our field.  The tehcnology of PGS (Pre-implantation genetic screening) is constantly advancing and improving.  Currently, it improves the pregnancy success rate greatly per embryo transfer, and can save many patients the heartache of miscarrages and chemical pregnancies.  It can also give insight to why someone has not been able to get pregnant despite normal standard fertility testing results.  PGS combined with FET seems to be the future of our field, and RFC is happy to be one of the pioneers moving forward toward the goal of achieving high pregnancy success while minimizing multiple gestation.

Our Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialist Dr. Lauren Rubal is especially passionate in treating patients with cancer.  Treatment options often include egg freezing and embryo freezing to preserve fertility.
